Andrew H. Brace

ANDREW BRACE’s first pedigree dog was the Boxer he owned at the age of eleven.

After modest success with Boxers, he turned his attentions to the Toy breeds, notably Pekingese in which breed he made up his first Champion.

Andrew first awarded CCs in Pekingese in 1977, judged his first Toy Group at Championship level in 1981 and became the UK’s youngest All Breeds Championship Best in Show judge in 1988.

I have been showing dogs with my late husband since the early '70's. I have judged all breeds at open shows and I have judged all the pastoral breeds and all the toy breeds, 1 utility breed ( Shih Tzu ) and 1 working breed ( Boxers ) at Championship shows in Ireland. I have judged both the Pastoral and Toy groups and Best in Show at Championship level. This will be my 3rd time judging in Finland. I am secretary of the Cork and District Canine Club here in Ireland which runs an all breed Championship show on a yearly basis. The breeds that I have owned and exhibited are: Welsh Corgis, German Shepherd Dog, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, Boxers, Bearded Collies, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Tibetan Spanials.
